ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University is being recognized nationally for its online degrees – including a No. 2 ranking for affordability among schools offering online master's degrees in finance.

The rankings by SR Education Group are compiled using factors such as annual tuition, accreditation and salary. Northern’s rankings were as follows:

These rankings come after Northern was already included this fall on a list of the 100 Most Affordable Colleges and Universities. Northern is No. 11 on this College Consensus list – the highest ranking of any university in South Dakota.

Also, Northern was again recognized among the top regional universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report, tying for number 101 on the Regional Universities Midwest list on the 2019 Best Colleges rankings. On the smaller Top Public Schools list within the regional universities category, Northern tied for number 26 in the Midwest.
