Campus pillars

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University will host three candidates for the position of vice president of enrollment management and student affairs on campus next week.

Campus forums for each candidate will be held as follows:

Dr. Jason Trainer: 3:15-4 p.m. March 23, Missouri River Room (Graham Hall)

Dr. Jeremy Reed: 3:15-4 p.m. March 24, Missouri River Room (Graham Hall)

Dr. Cheryl Ann Grefenstette-Moon: 3:15-4 p.m. March 27, Centennial Rooms (Student Center)

Trainer earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management and his master’s degree in management from Minot State University. He earned his doctorate in higher education from the University of North Dakota.

Trainer is currently director of admissions for the University of North Dakota. His past experience includes working for Northland Community and Technical College in Minnesota in the following positions: director of enrollment management and institutional research, director of enrollment management and marketing, and director of marketing and communications.

Reed earned his bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from Loras College in Iowa; his master’s degree in higher education and college student personnel from Kent State University in Ohio; and his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Iowa.

Reed is currently director of undergraduate admissions at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. His past experience includes working as director of career services at Augustana College in Illinois; director of admissions for MacMurray College in Illinois; and assistant dean of students/director of career services for Iowa Wesleyan College.

Grefenstette-Moon earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a business administration minor from the University of Texas at Arlington; her MBA from the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management; and her doctorate in educational leadership and cultural studies from the University of Houston.

Grefenstette-Moon is currently a university bound coach. Her previous experience includes working for Texas A&M University at Galveston in the following positions: executive director, enrollment services; executive director, admissions and records; director of admissions and records; and director of admissions. She also worked as assistant director of university admissions for the University of Texas, Medical Branch, Galveston.
