Summary: Applicant must be a current Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) national member; have submitted application at time of scholarship application; or be a current member at a local chapter within S.D. Must be enrolled in a HR-related degree-seeking program at a S.D. school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Requires contact information, essay, resume, recommendation letter, and transcript. One $1,000 scholarship.

Howard Memorial Scholarship

Summary: Applicants for the Howard Memorial Scholarship must be residents of Brown County OR plan to attend Northern State University regardless of where they live. Requires application, page one of the federal income tax return, and a transcript. Scholarships up to $1,000 available.
South Dakota Board of Regents Scholarships

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota students who attended an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Requires composite ACT score of 24 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum. Guaranteed to all students who qualify, $6,500 over four years.
