The Society exists to encourage and reward high scholastic attainment among first year students at NSU. Phi Eta Sigma is an honor society which recognizes outstanding achievement by freshman students. You are eligible to join Phi Eta Sigma if you have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the close of any academic term during your first year in college. Transfer students are also eligible.
Membership is first and foremost an honor. We believe that PES is one of the highest honors attainable by a student at this University. Therefore, if you meet the academic requirements for membership, we cordially invite you to become a member as have over 500 other Northern students since 1990.
