Frequently Asked Questions
Residents may have: TV's, radios, stereos, video games, computers, hair dryers, coffee makers, electric clocks, fans, and a 4.2 cubic ft or less refrigerator (l per room) in their rooms. All extension cords must have circuit breakers.
Residents may not have: candles with burnt wicks, incense, microwave ovens, toasters, George Foreman grills, open coil burners, electric blankets, halogen lamps, or air conditioners in their rooms. Irons can be used in designated areas only. A microwave oven, stove, toaster, and refrigerator are provided in each hall's kitchen area.
Computers: Each hall has a computer room for student use and the campus computer center has extended hours. However, students may bring their own if they wish. All residents' rooms are connected to the campus network through Ethernet connections with two connections in each room. Please check with the computer center to get the specifications for an Ethernet card and cable.
Laundry facilities: Available at no charge in each residence hall, no need for laundry change! But, bring your own soap, etc.
Beds: All beds in Steele Hall, as well as first floor Kramer Hall, are extra long twin size mattresses. All other halls are furnished with regular twin size bunk beds with regular twin mattresses. Bedding is not furnished.
