RESIDENCE LIFE

Kramer Hall is a co-ed residence hall housing 153 men and women. It honors Northern's ninth president, J. Howard Kramer. During his presidency from 1956 to 1968, President Kramer saw the development and construction of seven new buildings.

On the main floor (second floor),  there is a lobby area with a 51" big screen TV, vending machines, a public telephone, and the hall office.  First and third floors each have a lounge area with a TV.  There is a kitchen area included in the first floor lounge.  All lounge areas have tables big enough to work on group projects.  The free laundry room is on first floor and includes an iron and an ironing board.  The 24-hour computer lab, on second floor, has a LaserJet printer and four desktop computers that are connected to the campus network. Kramer is a designated No Smoking environment.

There are on-line computer hookups in all student rooms.  All rooms have fee-for-service cable TV access and a telephone jack.

Kramer is the residence hall nearest to the Barnett Center (NSU's fitness/sports complex) and is near to Seymour and Mewaldt-Jensen Halls (classroom buildings). Three other residence halls are located near Kramer, making it convenient for inter-hall studying and socializing.
