Exercise is good for the body and the mind. Northern students, faculty and staff can get their exercise at the Student Recreation Center in Dacotah Hall. A $175,000 renovation to the center recently was completed!
A variety of wellness classes are available, in which all students may participate free of charge.
The center also is home to NSU's intramural activities.
The center was established in 2006 and is funded entirely by student activity fees. The more than 3,500-square-foot facility includes a gymnasium, dance studio and aerobic room.
Staff are available to answer any questions about the center during regular staff hours. Students, faculty and staff must sign a liability waiver before access to the facility is granted.
Hours are 1-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 1-7 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
