Dr. Jessica Daw is an assistant
professor in Health and Physical Education at Northern State
University, a position she has held since June, 2001. Prior to
that, Jessie served as a Visiting Lecturer in the Kinesiology
department at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; a
position she took after completing her Ph.D. in Kinesiology,
with an emphasis in Sport Psychology, in 1999 from Illinois.
Major areas of specialization include performance enhancement,
motivation, coach education, and the social psychological
experiences of youth and adolescent athletes. Jessie's most
recent presentations focus on motivation of students in physical
education, as well as interdisciplinary physical education and
palm handheld technology use in physical education.
