            Heidi Tomek-Sackreiter, Assistant Professor

Ms. Heidi Tomek-Sackreiter is currently an instructor of elementary education at Northern State University.  She has been employed at NSU for over three years.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she also advises education majors, supervises student teachers, assists with the electronic portfolio project, and serves on various committees.  Ms. Tomek-Sackreiter is also pursuing a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. 

Prior to her role as an instructor, Ms. Tomek-Sackreiter taught sixth grade and substitute taught in various elementary and middle schools in Aberdeen.  She also worked as a private tutor for young children in the areas of math and reading.  In 2001, she earned a Master of Science in Education from Northern State University.  While working on her master's, she served the university as a graduate assistant in the School of Education.
