Educational Prerequisites: Nine credits of undergraduate reading and language arts courses and one year of teaching experience where reading instruction was a major responsibility. Three years of teaching experience where reading instruction is the major responsibility is necessary to obtain state certification as a Reading Specialist.

Individualized projects (i.e., language and literacy, comprehension strategies, study skills, or corrective reading assessment tools)

The internship would require experience with the administration of reading programs or assessment and correction of reading disabilities in a school setting.
