Running for President Task Sheet

     You are running for President of the United States of America.  You will need to create a campaign speech, sign, and commercial advertising why YOU are the best candidate for president.

     First, write a campaign speech telling the public:

     Remember that you are not the only person running for office, so you need to convince ME why YOU are the best candidate!  You need to remember to look at the Six + 1 Traits of Writing when creating your speech.  You will be scored specifically on Ideas, Organization, Conventions, and Word Choice.  Be fair, honest, and "put you best side forward!"  Have fun with this!

     Secondly, make a campaign sign that you would use to get your name out to the public.  This sign will be duplicated and put in people's yards everywhere.  When creating your sign, thing about the following:

     Thirdly, create a commercial advertising yourself and why YOU are the best candidate for President of the United States.  Create this commercial using PowerPoint.  Remember to be creative.  Your PowerPoint presentation will be scored according to the Six + 1 Traits of Writing.  Specifically focus on:
