MATH & SCIENCE PARTNERSHIP GRANT
| In partnership
with five school districts in Region 4, the School of Education at
Northern State University applied for a competitive subgrant from the SD
Board of Regents for the purpose of providing professional development
opportunities for math and science teachers in response to the No Child
Left Behind Act of 2001. This grant supports the efforts of five school
districts (four of them high-need) and NSU to respond to recent federal
legislation by improving the quality of math and science instruction in
grades 6-12, ultimately increasing student achievement in math and
science. |
