Dr. Jeffrey Jay published an article by NSTA Report;the article, entitled "Autism Included" discusses this increasingly prevalent disability,
its possible causes, and strategies for accomodating individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
Science Fairs
School of Education elementary education majors have been engaged in judging science fairs at Roncalli Middle School and Waubay Public Schools. They also spent two days with fourth grade students at Simmons Elementary doing science that included projectiles, angles, and rubber band catapults.

Dr. Neville Presents at Conference
Alan L. Neville is in his sixth year as a faculty member in elementary and secondary education. He continues his work with Gardner's multiple intelligences and Native American students. In March 2007, Neville presented the ticketed session "Enhancing Native American Students' Learning with Multiple Intelligences Theory" at the 62nd Annual Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development's Conference in Anaheim, CA. In April 2007, he helped organize and conduct the first Education Law Seminar for school administrators and educators in collaboration with the local law firm of Bantz, Gosch & Cremer. Dr. Neville also presented "Integrating Multiple Intelligences into the Curriculum of Native American Students" at the Systems Change Conference for School Leaders in Chamberlain, SD, in November 2007. Finally, he is a regular contributor for the "Viewpoints" column in the Aberdeen American News.
