There are actually two things that I believe make Northern State University's Education Department special. One is the people that are involved in the various departments that work in the School of Ed and the second one, I think, is the opportunities that we give our students to go in to the field and receive practical experience in working with students. We do this both at the Sophomore level, at the Junior level and at the Senior level with a ten week student teaching experience.
