I think Northern State University's music education program has helped me realize the importance of the human aspect of music in learning. Just because it's so prevalent here you have a lot of one-on-one contact, a lot of practical applications where you get to interact with other students, other faculty members who have had their own experiences as well as people who are out in the profession today.
