Purpose of the NSU Lions Club is 'to serve' by providing service to NSU, the Aberdeen community, and the state, as well as internationally.
Annually Sponsored Events: Mobile Screening Unit health screenings, eye screenings at Brown County Health Fair, highway clean-up, eye glass recycling, Salvation Army bell ringing, sponsoring students during South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Christmas party, volunteer at SDSBVI Back to School picnic, Special Olympics, assisting Aberdeen Lions with annual Superbowl Sunday pancake feed fundraiser, and a variety of other events.
Meetings: semi-monthly; Tuesdays @ 9:30 pm in Thunder's Lair
Membership Requirements:
· NSU student interested in service to others
· willingness to pay one-time initiation fee of $10 +$5 per semester for membership dues
Term of Officers: Spring elections, 1 year terms (no limit on terms)
