April 16 — The small, blue glory-of-the-snow flowers on the south side of our house survived two snowfalls and are blooming well. April 21 — The glory-of-the-snow flowers are about done blooming, but the yellow crocuses on the SW corner of the house are very nice. April 25 — It snowed! April 30 — Yellow daffodils are blooming between the house and the driveway. May 5 — White daffodils are blooming next to the yellow. May 5 — 1st mowing May 7 — The tulips are beginning to bloom around the house and in the backyard. May 12 — The juneberries are blossoming in the backyard. | |

2007 Garden Report April 23 — Though the yellow daffodils were buried under snow and frozen in early April, they almost fully recovered and are now blooming between the house and the driveway. April 26 — 1st mowing April 28 — Though the white daffodils also suffered the cold and snow, they are blooming next to the yellow. April 28 — The tulips are blooming next to the front step and on the south side of the garage. April 29 — The juneberries are blossoming in the backyard. May 1 — The daffodils are waning. May 9 — The apple trees in our backyard are blossoming. The lilacs and oriental peonies in our backyard as well as the yellow tulips on the south side of our house are in full bloom. The tomatoes and banana peppers survived the flood. They were under water for over a day. | |

2006 Garden Report April 13 — Yellow daffodils are blooming between the house and the driveway. April 16 — White daffodils are blooming next to the yellow. April 17 — 1st mowing April 20 — The yellow daffodil flowers are wilting, but the tulips are about to bloom next to the front step and on the south side of the garage. April 23 — The aforementioned tulips are blooming. April 28 — The white daffodil flowers are wilting, but the tulips are beautiful. May 3 — More tulips are blooming and the apple trees are blossoming. May 8 — The lilacs in our backyard and the yellow tulips on the south side of our house are in full bloom. May 15 — The pink and yellow tulips are still pretty and the lilacs in our backyard are in full bloom. May 17 — The poppies, oriental peonies and columbine are blooming. The black walnut tree is finally beginning to leaf. May 25 — The tulips, lilacs and peonies have finished blooming and the poppies are half done. The columbine is still going strong and the lily of the valley is in full bloom. The irises are beginning to bloom. June 2 — The poppies are done flowering. The columbine and the lily of the valley are almost finished. The irises are just past their prime. The clover in the lawn is blossoming white and yellow. The perennial geraniums and sedum are now in full bloom. June 10 — The sedum is done flowering. A handful of lavender irises are still in bloom. The clover in the lawn is still blossoming white and yellow. The perennial geraniums are still in full bloom. The siberian irises are blooming. July 3 — The roses, daises and perennial geraniums are almost finished blooming. The ________ have bright white blossoms. The tiger lilies are beginning to flower. July 8 — A few roses, daises and perennial geraniums are still blooming. The ________ have bright white blossoms. The white tiger lilies and purple phlox are in full bloom. August 20 — The spider lilies are in full bloom. The apples are large, but a bit sour. | |
