Gilligan's Island
If you know a few adjacent natural minor scales, you can play "Gilligan's Island". The tune and chords are entirely in natural minor. The melody begins with dominant and tonic. The harmony uses only i, VII & VI. Each verse moves up a half step.
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Begins with an octave leap from tonic up to tonic. It includes 2 quick notes outside of the major scale—both are chromatic lower neighbors.
Many web sites offer chord symbols and words to songs you know. Play the melody by ear.
