Pitch Dictations

Take out a pencil and paper.
Click on the number of a dictation to hear it.
You will hear a number of pitches.
Transcribe the pitches with solfege or numbers and note the number of times you listened to the example.

Level 1: These examples use only tones of the major scale; begin on tonic; end on 1, 3 or 5; employ stepwise motion and leaps through 1, 3 & 5; and are only 9 notes long.

Level 2: These examples include a sequence; use only tones of the major scale; begin on tonic; end on 1, 3 or 5; employ stepwise motion and leaps of a 3rd; and are 19 to 25 notes long.
