South Dakota Bankers Foundation Scholarships

Summary: Applicant must be a college junior expressing an interest or majoring in banking, finance or business. Includes the Herman Lerdal, Joyce Hazeltine, David S. Birkeland, Deb Gates, and Alan M. Graff scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 each.

Deadline: March 27, 2020

 

South Dakota Bankers Foundation-Sponsored Scholarship at NSU

Summary: Awarded to a junior or senior majoring in banking and financial services. One $1,500 scholarship. For application and deadline information, contact NSU School of Business Interim Dean Doug Ohmer at 605-626-2400 or doug.ohmer@northern.edu.

South Dakota Retailers Association Jerry Wheeler Scholarship Program

Summary: Applicants must enroll in a retail-related course of study in fall 2020 and intend to pursue a career in a retail-related field, and either have graduated from a South Dakota high school; have earned a GED in South Dakota; or plan to attend post-secondary school in South Dakota. Awards range from $500 to $3,000.

Deadline: April 20, 2020.

 

Harvey Harrington Memorial Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be a nontraditional junior or senior business student and have a minimum 3.0 GPA with no failure of any previous courses. One $300 scholarship.

Deadline: To be announced March 2020

 

Lyman Humann Moose Lodge Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be a full-time business student  with minimum 2.75 GPA. Applicants with a parent who is a South Dakota or North Dakota Moose lodge member are preferred.  One $425 scholarship.

Kolker Family Endowment Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be a business major with financial need.€ Applicant must be highly motivated, hard-working, and of good character. Applicant must show a sense of civic responsibility through involvement in campus and community activities. One $2,500 scholarship.

Jim & Judy Krueger International Student Scholarship

Summary: Preferred applicant must be an international (non-U.S. citizen) student and business major. If there are no international students in the School of Business, then applicants may be NSU international students enrolled in any major. Preference will be given to those who are active in campus activities and have financial need. One $725 scholarship.

Aberdeen Area Human Resources Association Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must have a minor in human resources and minimum 3.0 GPA. One $1,425 scholarship.

Equity Trust Company Scholarship

Summary: Candidates must be in their junior or senior year with a declared major in accounting, banking and financial services, business administration or economics, with an average GPA of 3.0 or better. South Dakota high school graduates are preferred. One $1,425 scholarship.

Bob Lehr Memorial Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must have been born and raised in South Dakota. Preference will be given to second-semester freshmen with a minimum GPA of 2.7 who are majoring in accounting. One $200 scholarship.

NSU Accounting Club Annual Scholarship

Summary: Recipient must have been an NSU Accounting Club member for at least one year and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to a student who has attained junior academic standing.  One $500 scholarship.

Excellence in Accounting Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must be transfer students majoring in accounting or professional accountancy with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference given to students who have attained junior class standing. One $500 scholarship.

Marvin & Ione Ehley WolfPACT Scholarship

Summary:  Preference given to students pursuing a degree in accounting; if no accounting major is selected, scholarship may be open to any business major. One presidential award ($5,000) to be given annually, with remaining funds to be used to for an additional scholarship.

Kelly Lux Memorial Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be a junior or senior business major with a GPA of 2.5 or above, and be involved in golf, basketball, football, or baseball. One $575 scholarship.
