Accelerated Nursing Program

If you've earned a bachelor's degree in ANY field, NSU and South Dakota State University can get you into nursing in just one year.
Want a fast track into nursing, where you'll bring your desire to help and heal to the dynamic, growing healthcare industry? NSU's Accelerated Nursing Program is for people who have completed a bachelor's degree and wish to obtain a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

With this degree, you'll learn to provide high-quality care as a professional nurse. You'll be prepared to work in a variety of settings, helping people with complex medical issues. Classes and labs will be held on campus at Northern, while clinicals will be completed at Sanford Medical Center or Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, or in hospitals in surrounding communities. Selected intensive experiences will take place in other South Dakota communities.

South Dakota State University’s Accelerated Nursing Program is offered in cooperation with and on the campus of Northern State University. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and approved by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
