In contrast to traditional strategic planning, Strategic Doing prioritizes action on shorter timelines driven by continual engagement, reflection and adjustment to realize pathway projects supporting the university’s mission, vision, and values.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A new learning tool offers Northern State University education students the chance to experience the classroom using virtual reality.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University has been unanimously selected as a provisional member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC).

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University has again been recognized among the top regional universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report.

Strategic Action Team

The Strategic Action Team (SAT) is comprised of people from all areas of campus. The SAT focuses on the question of where Northern is going and serves as facilitators for Pillar Teams; guiding, convening and managing the Northern Strategic Doing™ process.

Goal: Identify characteristics and success metrics for the Distinctive Learning strategic opportunity and develop pathway projects, with clear milestones, that will contribute to the building of this pillar.
