The Board of Regent Banner Student Project (BSP) is well underway. As of this communication, Financial Aid, Admissions, International Studies and Health Services modules are now live (data is now be processed in Banner).

The Registrar’s Office and department staff are currently loading summer and fall 2019 course information into Banner. During the initial implementation of the BSP, some data entry will require dual entry in Banner and Datatel/Colleague, which may result in slower response times from some departments.

Students will register for summer and fall 2019 courses via Banner Self-Service. The BSP Team is developing communication tracks for students/faculty/staff on how to use the Banner Self-Service functions. The communications will be sent “just-in-time” as the self-service modules become available for use.

Over the next few weeks as operational functions of Banner progress, faculty and staff will be offered opportunities to participate in training sessions “just-in-time.” Training manuals are being developed for faculty and staff on operational functions of the Banner Student Information System.

The NSU BSP Team meets 10-11 a.m. the first Monday of each month in the Harvey Jewett Conference Room in Spafford Hall.
