NSU Facilities Manager Monte Mehlhoff has issued a regional sports complex construction update.    

Barnett Center Addition

• Sanding and finishing the drywall at the second level event center space is completed.
• Priming/painting has started at the second level event center space.
• Rough-ins work for HVAC, plumbing and electrical is nearing completion in back of house areas, and drywall top-out is starting in various locations.
• HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment is being installed in the various mechanical rooms. 
• Framing of the locker room media wall / trophy case / locker islands / and ceiling soffits and components is complete.
• Electrical and HVAC rough-in work in the locker room ceiling and locker islands has begun and is ongoing. 
• Locker Fabrication will begin in April and be installed in June.
• Roof is completed, exterior metal panels are installed, and glazing is all in with the exception of temporary doors/windows for pass throughs. Building is watertight.
• Demo of the new entrance at the S.E. Barnett Center vestibule into the new B.C. addition is completed, Opening is framed and new door is installed.
• Elevator install (X2) at the Barnett Center addition will commence next week.

Football Stadium

• Fourth and fifth levels have been temporarily bubbled, framed, and are winter heated.
• Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough-ins are wrapping up on fifth level and wall drywalling has begun.
• Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough-ins are continue on fourth level and drywall installers will move to fourth level once they have completed fifth level. 
• Fourth level bar/lounge has all glazing installed at exterior curtain walls and is watertight and temporarily heated for interior work.
• Fourth level premium suites are framed, M.E.P. rough-ins continue.  Aluminum door and window frames are installed and awaiting glazing. 
• Third level loge: all interior restrooms, concessions, and back of house areas are framed in and M.E.P. rough-in work is ongoing.  
• Work continues on second level for all M.E.P. rough-ins at bathrooms and concessions. 
• Mason is continuing to lay block interior CMU walls at restrooms and concessions on second level concourse. 

Football Field

• All drainage, subgrade construction, and field curb has all been installed.  Now we wait until spring for top layer fine grade and turf roll-out/install.
• Work will continue on installing the exterior metal panels as the wind/weather allows. 
• Upper EPDM roof system is installed and all completed and bonded.  Metal parapet cap remains. 
• Second-level concourse EPDM roof system is complete. Metal parapet cap remains.

Softball Stadium

• Concrete contractors have finished the lower bowl seating pours, and have poured both dugouts and dugouts roofs. 
• All concrete field walls and bullpen areas have been poured and are complete.
• Steel structure for the softball press box and suite is erected and moment connection testing was just passed.  
• All underground M.E.P rough-ins are installed at softball concessions/restroom and the concrete floor slab has been poured. 
• SB field subgrade drainage and field curb construction will all take place in the spring.
