NSU Facilities Manager Monte Mehlhoff has issued a campus construction update.

Herret Street Parking Lot
The city of Aberdeen applied the first layer of asphalt to Herret Street on Oct. 8; the street is open. Lights have been installed in the parking lot islands, where Beadle Floral and Lanscaping was to plant trees and other plants on Oct. 9. Lot striping will follow. The lot is nearing completion and will be available to both red and green parking permit holders.

Barnett Center
Remodeling continues in Barnett Center, where former racquetball courts are being converted to offices and a conference room. This project should be complete by December.

The pool HVAC upgrade is complete and the pool is open.

Campus Power
A new transformer will be installed by Muth Electric.

Science Center
All items will be completed soon. Dirt work has begun for the seeded grass area on the building's south side.

Fire Alarm Replacement
Bids for Heating Plant and Barnett Center fire alarm replacement will be accepted in November, with work to begin shortly after.

JFAC
The Johnson Fine Arts Center's older roof sections will be replaced in spring/summer 2020.
