COVID-19 News

• Mask Level: NSU is at Level 3, which requires face coverings in all public indoor spaces on campus. Learn more about the SDBOR Face Covering Protocol here.
• Webpage Updates: Northern has updated its COVID-19 Webpage, now including various FAQs for students, faculty and staff.
• Requesting Supplies: To request COVID-19 supplies from NSU Facilities, please work with your supervisor to determine the proposed needs for your entire department and submit an order using this online form.

Robert J. Courtney Student Leadership Award

The South Dakota Higher Education Association (SDHEA) takes pride in developing tomorrow’s leaders. To honor of one of our own leaders in campus life, the Robert J. Courtney Student Leadership Award was established. Bob enjoyed a career in student affairs that spanned over 31 years; he was a member of SDHEA for 25 of those years. This award recognizes one student annually who demonstrates leadership excellence within their institution and community. Students must be full-time at a South Dakota post-secondary institution, have campus involvement and be in good academic standing. The deadline for submission is Friday, January 15, 2021 at 5 p.m. For award criteria and the nomination form, click here.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act

Please note that the Families First Coronavirus Response Act expired Dec. 31. Anyone who is ill with the virus or has a need to care for a dependent after that date will need to use his/her own sick leave and/or annual leave.

Employee Assistance Plan
