Preparing you for admission into any school of journalism

As a journalist, you’ll deliver vital information to the public using multiple channels - but always with clarity and integrity. While pre-journalism is not a major itself, we’ll match you with a degree program and the coursework required to prepare you for a career in journalism.

You'll work with Northern's pre-journalism program faculty advisor to plan a personalized schedule of courses and identify a degree program that fits your area of interest, whether it's reporting, copy editing, design, publishing or marketing and sales.
