The Northern State University Foundation is a key partner with the university in building and sustaining excellence among students and faculty, and fueling discovery in important areas on campus. The NSUF accomplishes this by raising and managing gifts from individuals and organizations. Through collaboration with university leaders and development officers, the NSUF staff ensures that fundraising activities are consistent with the university’s highest priorities and the donor’s philanthropic intentions.
Last year the NSU Foundation contributed $23,377,851 to Northern State University, of which $18, 377,851 was building commitments. Thanks to the gifts of generous supporters, more than $3.6 million was distributed in the form of student scholarships. In total, more than 2,324 scholarships were awarded with an average award of $1,568 per student.
The Northern State University Foundation has established the Covid-19 Student Emergency Relief Fund.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Northern students are facing job loss, child care expenses and lack of internet access and other digital resources after spring semester instruction was moved online.
This fund will provide immediate grants to students to help them stay enrolled and return to Northern. Donors, supporters, alumni and community - please help in any way you can.
