ABERDEEN, S.D. – An article by Northern State University faculty members Drs. Kristi Bockorny and Hannah Walters has been accepted for publication in The Transnational Journal of Business.

The article, titled “The Relevance of a Liberal Arts Education to Business School Graduates: An Assessment of Alumni,” will appear in the journal’s June edition. Bockorny and Walters collected survey data from a sample of business alumni in order to assess their perceived relevance of a liberal arts education to their business degree.

Bockorny is associate professor of management and director of the NSU Honors Program. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northern, and both her master’s and Ph.D. from Bellevue University.

Walters is assistant professor of marketing at Northern. She received her bachelor’s degree from Dakota Wesleyan University, her master’s from the University of South Dakota and DBA from Anderson University.
