ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University has again been recognized for its service to student veterans and students in the military.

NSU has been designated a 2021-22 Military Friendly School by Victory Media, an honor the university has received many of the past several years.

The Military Friendly® Schools list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies, veteran students and proprietary survey information from participating organizations.

At Northern, student veterans and students currently serving in the military can receive assistance with issues such as receiving educational benefits, tutoring, getting a copy of class schedules or getting a copy of military transcripts.

Northern also has a dedicated staff member who helps with military education benefits: Carlee Miller, VA School Certifying Official. Other resources include the NSU Student Veteran Resource Center, located on the lower level of the Student Center. For more information, visit the NSU Veterans and Active Military webpage.
