ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University Assistant Professor of Management Dr. Sal Villegas recently published two collaborative journal articles.

The first, “Avoiding digital marketing analytics myopia: Revisiting the customer decision journey as a strategic marketing framework,” appears in the Journal of Marketing Analytics, and can be viewed here.

According to the article abstract, Villegas and co-author Dr. Matthew Vollrath build on seminal marketing thought to propose a conceptual framework that places use of digital marketing analytics tools and channels in the context of a firm’s marketing plan.

The second article, “The evolution of Human Resource Development,” appears in the Journal for Advancing Business Education, and can be viewed here.

Villegas collaborated with Dr. Katherine N. Yamamoto on this study, which surveys the evolution of human resource management (HRM) and human resource development (HRD), according to the article abstract.

Villegas holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Management from George Fox University and has nearly two decades of successful industry experience in the banking and finance sectors. His research interests include business ethics, multigenerational workforce management and networking/reciprocity.
