ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University student Angela Schleich will have her Senior Art Exhibition on display Dec. 1-14 in the NSU Lincoln Gallery.
Schleich will hold a public reception at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Lincoln Gallery. Her exhibition will include her digital photography, digital paintings and oil paintings.
“I try to capture the life of South Dakota in my artwork and explore the subjects of family, self-discovery and beauty in this environment,” she said.
Schleich, the daughter of Robert and Lori Schleich, grew up in Mitchell, graduating from Mitchell High School in 2017.
At Northern, she is majoring in graphic design and has studied with faculty members Peter Killian, Alexis Doerr, Jason Knowles, Nadya Preszler and Derek Decker.
“I chose Northern for the great art and music program along with my sister being here in Aberdeen, and my family being close by, Schleich said.
Schleich will graduate in December 2021 and plans to continue making artwork as much as she can.
