Florin/Roebig Scholarship Essay Contest

Deadline: Sept. 1, 2022

Summary: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Requires one 1,200-word essay about the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected the lives of people around the world. Scholarship awards and amounts vary.

 

Textbook Nova 2022 Scholarship

Deadline: Sept. 1, 2022

Summary: Applicant must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program during the 2021 academic year. Requires online submission and 1,000-word essay. One $1,000 scholarship.

 

Spolin Law Scholarship

Deadline: October 1 each year

Summary: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Requires an application and a 500-word essay about what the U.S. Constitution means to you. One $1,000 scholarship.

 

Watertown Winter Farm Show LATI Scholarship

Deadline: October 14, 2022

Summary: Applicant must have been consistently active and involved in agriculture, 4-H, and/or the Watertown Winter Farm Show and and plan to attend college or technical school in the fall of the current year. Requires application, high school transcript, and/or college transcript. Multiple scholarships awarded; scholarship award(s) vary.

 

Sachs Marketing Group Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2022

Summary: Applicant must be currently enrolled. Requires online application and essay. One $1,000 scholarship.

 

The 2022 Daniel Kim Scholarship

Deadline: December 31, 2022

Summary: Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Requires one $1,200-word essay. One $5,000 scholarship.

 

Atlanta Innovative Medicine Scholarship

Deadline: December 31, 2022

Summary: Applicant must be at least 18 and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Requires a 1,200-word essay. One $1,500 scholarship.

 

Witzelben Scholarship

Deadline: April 1 each year

Summary: Applicant must be a high school graduate residing on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota and North Dakota. The applicant will need to reflect personal integrity, individual character, and demonstrate an interest in humanitarian issues. Requires a brief essay, a copy of their high school transcript, and two reference letters. One must be from a teacher. One $1,000 scholarship.

 

Completing the Dream Gap Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. Applicants also must be in good academic standing but at risk of not returning to or graduating/ completing due to an outstanding financial need, and/or emergency situation that leads to a financial aid crisis. Requires a two-minute video statement explaining how education will benefit you, your family, and the community. Recipients are awarded $2,500.

 

SDSWMA Scholarship Application

Summary: Applicant must be a South Dakota resident planning to pursue a career that supports protection and enhancement of our natural resources and environment, the solid waste industry and/or related fields. Requires three letters of reference and a cover letter that contains required material.

 

Citizens Scholarship

Summary: Applicant must be in an undergraduate or graduate program. Requires an online submission. $2,500 scholarship each month.

 

College Ave Scholarship

Deadline: None

Summary: Entrants can win a $1,000 College Ave Student Loans scholarship. One winner each month. Applicants may apply monthly.

 

Howard Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: The 2022-2023 application cycle for the Howard Memorial Scholarship has closed. New applications will be available early 2023.

Summary: Applicants for the Howard Memorial Scholarship must be residents of Brown County OR plan to attend Northern State University regardless of where they live. Requires application, page one of the federal income tax return, and a transcript. Scholarships up to $3,000 available.

 

 

South Dakota Board of Regents Scholarships

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

Deadline: See website

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota students who attended an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Requires composite ACT score of 24 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum. Guaranteed to all students who qualify, $6,500 over four years.
