About The Program
School of Business

As an NSU economics graduate, you’ll have advanced knowledge in economics reasoning and competency in microeconomics, macroeconomics, monetary theory and policy, and international economics. You’ll have the analytical and problem-solving skills essential for success in professional programs or graduate school.

Students in NSU’s economics program receive a personal education.  Our class sizes are small and professors have an open-door policy.

Our students find success working in the government as well as private sector, including banking and financial services, corporate consulting, diplomatic corps and entrepreneurial ventures. You might also continue your education in law school and other graduate programs.

NSU’s advisors and instructors will counsel you on potential career paths, as well as internship and post-graduation employment opportunities.

For more information on careers in your major or help choosing a major, contact the NSU Career Center.

Our students have secured local and regional internships leading to full-time work with financial institutions and state government.

The NSU School of Business shares internship opportunities through postings and on-campus presentations and interviews.

NSU students pursuing an economics degree can apply for NSU School of Business scholarships and other scholarships.
